We are proud to finally release our ALL NEW rear 4 link it for the 1979-1991 K5 blazers! This kit utilizes a fabricated trailing arm and specific shock package to unlock up to 17" of vertical wheel travel WITHOUT cutting up through the bed floor. For lift, the kit is optimized for 4"-6" of lift over stock. Shorter lift heights will work however high-speed offroad performance will be limited. This kit will work with tire sizes ranging from 35" up to 40". Our frame side link brackets are 100% bolt on and key off factory holes, making install a breeze as well as taking the guesswork out of setting up your suspension properly. The frame side shock brackets also bolt onto the frame and locate off of factory holes. There is some minor trimming needed of some of the seams under the cab for proper clearance. We are working on an extended shock mount option that will protrude into the cab slightly, but will allow the use of a longer shock with equates to even more wheel travel. The rear bumpstop/limitstrap/swaybar/shock reservoir brackets also bolt onto the frame indexing off of factory holes. To maximize performance, we do recommend running a fabricated ford 9" housing. We can setup a custom rear axle to fit many applications to include custom widths, bolts patterns, and gear sets. Of course, if you want to run the trusty 14 bolt, we also have a full bracket and truss kit for that as well! Our lower trailing arms were designed to maximize wheel travel and strength. They feature a 1.5" uniball at the frame side with a wobble stopper housing to prevent the trailing arm from trying to rotate when pushed up against rocks. They also have provisions for the swaybar endlink, as well as a 1.25" heim for the axle side.
This kit will come fully welded! that includes all the frame side brackets, trailing arms, upper links, etc. The only welding you will need to do, is to weld the Axle brackets to the axle (unless you purchase a rear axle from us, then we will weld the brackets on in the correct location) We will also offer this kit with the trailing arms and upper links with only the frame side tube adapters welded in. This is for the guys who would like to stretch/shorten their wheel base and aren't afraid to weld up their own parts! Just shoot us am email if you would like this option.
This kit will be available in 2 variations, the Basic kit, or the Destroyer kit.
The Basic kit includes the following:
- Frame side upper and lower bolt on 4 link brackets and hardware
- Axle side upper and lower 4 link brackets (and axle truss for 14 bolt applications)
- Frame side bolt on upper shock mount and crossmember
- Lower fabricated trailing arms with joints, uniballs, and spacers
- Upper links with joints and spacers
- Axle side bumpstop pad and limit strap mount
- All necessary bolts and hardware to mount the brackets as well as for all of the joints.
The Destroyer Kit Includes the following: Everything in the basic kit plus
- Frame side Bumpstop, Swaybar, Limit Strap, and reservoir mounting brackets
- 1.25" swaybar kit to include the 1.25" swaybar, arms, bushings, washers, endlinks with joints and hardware
- Limit strap kit to include adjustable mounting clevis' and triple wrapped straps and hardware.
We do offer a few different shock packages. This kit is designed to reach its maximum potential when paired with a 3.0 Internal Bypass coilover, but a 2.5 standard coilover will also work.
The Basic Kit shock packages include the following:
- (2) 2.5x10 or 3.0x10coilovers with out custom reservoir layout and dual rate spring hardware
- (4) coil springs setup for your rig
The Destroyer Kit Shock Package includes everything in the Basic kit PLUS
- (2) 2x2 bumpstops
- (2) Mounting Cans
